主讲人简介:刘欣欣,2005年毕业于安徽师范大学,中学一级教师,曾获市级教学论文二等奖,三等奖。本教材以素质教育为基本理念,在转变教学思想的前提下,落实《中华人民共和国义务教育法》和《太和二中校本课程的管理办法》的精神,全面贯彻“生本”理念,树立学生健全的人格,提高学生自主发展的能力。

内容简介:本校高一的学生整体在英语方面基础较弱,英语学习兴趣不大,学习方法也没有很好地掌握。所以在这一阶段,培养他们学习英语的兴趣至关重要。本教材旨在培养学生学习英语的兴趣,提高口语和阅读能力,主要包括三部分内容:1-6单元为常用交际英语;7-10单元为常用英语谚语;11-14单元为英语佳文欣赏。

编写背景:本教材课程面向高一学生。语言是人类最重要的思维和交流工具,也是人们参与社会活动的重要条件,对促进人的全面发展具有重要意义。高中学生学习外语一方面可以促进心智、情感、态度价值观的发展和综合人文素养的提高;另一方面,掌握一门国际通用语种可以为学习外国的先进文化科学技术和进行国际交往创造条件。

开课目的:开设了英语校本课程,目的是为了拓展学生的知识面,培养学生学英语的兴趣,提高学生的口语。便于学生全方位地了解英语国家的文化背景,提高他们的学习水平。以提高学生英语语言综合能力为基本宗旨,以提高学生学英语的兴趣为目的,培养学生的合作意识和创新精神。

评价手段:采用形成性评价和课程终结性考试相结合的方式;同时也可以引导学生根据评价标准进行个人评价和小组描述性评价。

Unit1

Introduction

When you want to introduce yourself or your friends to someone else, it is very important to express politely. And sometimes shaking hands would be necessary.

Teaching aims: Let students grasp the basic expressions of introduction and learn to greet each other in a proper way.

Conversation 1

M: Excuse me, are you Miss Green?

W: Yes. May I help you?

M: May I introduce myself?

W: Yes.

M: I’m a new student in the school. My name’s John.

W: Nice to meet you, John.

M: It’s a pleasure to meet you, Miss Green.

Conversation 2

W: Simon, may I introduce you to Linda? You don’t know each other, do you?

M: No. I’ve not had the pleasure of meeting her yet.

W: How do you do? I’m pleased to meet you.

M: How do you do?

W: Please sit down. Help yourself just like you are at home.

W: What would you like to drink?

M: A cup of coffee, please.

Conversation 3

W: Mr. Green, I’d like to introduce you to Mr. Brown.

M: How do you do, Mr. Brown? It’s a pleasure to get to know you.

W: My pleasure, Mr. Green. I look forward to an excellent relationship with your company.

M: I propose a toast to the health of everyone here and to the success of our negotiation.

W: Okay, let’s make a toast.

M: Good evening, Mr. Wu.

W: Good evening, Mr. Smith.

M: Have you met my wife, Mary?

W: No. I haven’t had the pleasure.

M: Mary, this is Mr. Wu, my new Chinese friend.

W: How do you do, Mr. Wu? Welcome.

M: How do you do?

W: Have a glass of wine, Mr. Wu? And let me introduce you to some of my guests.

M: How do you do? My name’s Jin Tao. Glad to meet you.

W: How do you do? I’m Yang Li. Glad to meet you, too.

M: May I introduce Mr. Wang to you? Wang Yang. He is from China.

W: Hi, Mr. Wang. I’m glad to meet you.

    M: Hi, Miss Yang, I’ve heard so much about you.

W: Me, too.

M: Let’s have a seat.

M: Good afternoon, Mrs. Smith. I’d like you to meet my girl friend, Sally.

W: Hello, Sally, I’m glad to meet you.

M: It’s a pleasure to meet you, too, Mrs. Smith. I’ve heard so much about you.

W: Oh, thank you. John has often talked about you, too.

M: Hello, may I introduce myself to you? I’m Zhou Mei.

W: I’m Jack. Pleased to meet you.

M: Pleased to meet you, too. Are you here with your family?

W: No. My family is inEngland.

M: Are you studying here?

W: Yes. I’m studying Chinese.

M: What do you think of our city?

W: It’s a nice place. Your people are so friendly

 Greetings

Different countries have different cultures. In western counties, it is usually necessary to say “hello” to each other when you meet someone.

Teaching aims: Get students to know how to greet each other politely when they meet.

Conversation 1

W: Morning, Tom.

M: Hi, Mary.

W: You seem to be in a hurry.

M: Yes. I’ve got a meeting in a minute.

W: Okay. I won’t hold you up then.

M: Right. I’ll see you later.

W: See you later.

Conversation 2

W: Nice and warm again, isn’t it?

M: Oh, it’s lovely. Think of the nasty weather we had last week.

W: How are you these days?

M: Fine, thank you. And you?

W: Fine today, though a bit under the weather last week.

Conversation 3

M: Hi, Mary, it’s been a long time

W: Hello, my old friend. Long time no see. How are you doing?

M: Well, I’m doing okay. And how about yourself?

W: Not so well. To be honest with you, I broke up with Tom.

M: Oh. I’m sorry to hear that. What happened?

Conversation 4

M: Good morning, Miss Li.

W: Morning, Mike.

M: I’m sorry that I was absent yesterday.

W: I’ve already got your certificate for sick-leave. How do you feel today?

M: I feel much better now.

W: Have you received the reading material handed out yesterday?

M: I’ve already got it. Thanks.

W: I will explain it in detail in the next class. Could you preview it?

M: I will.

Conversation 5

M: Hi, Lily, it’s so nice to see you again.

W: Hum, me too. This winter holiday was especially long. What have you done?

M: Nothing special. I had a get-together with some schoolmates at the high school, visited the Internet and read a couple of books which I had been longing for. How about yours?

W: You know, I like traveling. I made good use of this long vacation and enjoyed myself.

Conversation 6

M: Good morning, Linda. How have you been?

W: Pretty bad. I’ve had a bad cold for three days and still can’t get rid of it.

M: I’m sorry to hear that. Is there anything else I can do?

W: No, thanks.

M: Well, I hope you’ll feel better soon.

W: Thank you for your concern.

 

 

 

Unit3

Invitation

When you invite someone or when you are invited by someone, there is always something important you should pay attention to, such as time, place etc.

Teaching aims: Get students to know how to make a successful invitation.

Conversation 1

W: Hello, this is Helen speaking.

M: Hello, Helen. This is John. How are you?

W: Fine, thank you. And you?

M: Fine, thanks. I’ll have a party next Sunday at home. I’m calling to ask whether you can come or not.

W: Oh, wonderful. I’ll be glad to.

M: Okay, now you are a famous star.

W: Hum, don’t say that. Maybe you can do something useful for me.

M: What’s wrong with you?

W: I’ll tell you at the party.

M: Okay.

Conversation 2

W: Hello, is Jack there?

M: Speaking.

W: Jack! It’s Rose here.

M: Hi, Rose. How’s everything?

W: Fine, thanks. I’m having several friends over for dinner this Saturday. And I was wondering if you have the time to join us.

M: Sounds good. What time do you want me to come?

W: Is six o’clock okay?

M: That’s fine. I think I can make it. By the way, what will you want me to bring?

W: Nothing. Just bring yourself.
